our Story

  • Run For Remembrance was created in 2023 on the first anniversary of Erasmo Elias Jr.’s passing. What started out as his family finding a way to cope with his loss— this has grown into an annual tradition that celebrates life, uplifts families, and inspires action.

In 2025, we became an established non-profit with the state. The current board members are pictured to the right.

In order left to right: Christina Wall (Erasmo’s sister), Tessa Noirot (Erasmo’s niece), Isabel Flores (Erasmo’s oldest daughter), John Wall (Erasmo’s brother-in-law)

  • Our 5K isn’t just a race— it’s a gathering of hearts. Each step taken is a tribute, a memory, and a reminder that we are stronger together. Through this event, we want to remember the lives of those we have lost, create a place for healing & hope, & award a scholarship to honor the legacy of Erasmo Elias Jr..

    • A scholarship will be awarded to a local student who is entering the workforce

    • Opportunities for families & friends to celebrate life

    • A platform for remembrance, support, & community growth
